1936 WAFFLE SHIRT - Natural

The 1936 Waffle Shirt from Pike Brothers is inspired by classic thermal underwear and work shirts from the 1930s . At this time, waffle shirts were an essential layer under work clothes, worn by workers and soldiers to keep warm in cold weather.

The model follows an authentic cut from the period with a relatively close fit and a classic henley collar with button placket . The simple construction makes the garment very versatile – it can be worn as underwear, as a mid-layer under a shirt or jacket, or alone with denim and workwear trousers.

The Natural color is an unbleached cotton tone that gives a clean and classic look, inspired by underwear from the first half of the 20th century.

The shirt is made of heavy waffle-knit cotton with a weight of 300 g/m² . This type of fabric is characterized by the characteristic checkered structure that gives the material its name.
