The fabric is a Japanese selvedge denim where both the warp and weft are dyed black , which gives a deep and even black color throughout the fabric.

The denim is woven in Japan on traditional shuttle looms , giving it the distinctive selvedge and dense, robust structure that characterizes true selvedge denim. Because both the outer and inner yarns are dyed, the jeans will stay dark for a long time and develop more subtle fades than classic indigo denim.

The jeans are manufactured in Naked & Famous's factory in Canada , known for precise construction and solid craftsmanship.
