Loose Jeans from EDWIN are classic selvedge jeans made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method gives the characteristic selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct fades over time.

The denim weighs 14oz , making it medium to heavy compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made from 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body with use.

The Loose Fit has a slightly lower waist, plenty of room in the seat and thighs, and a leg that tapers slightly from the knee down. The result is a relaxed silhouette inspired by classic workwear jeans.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan , and the jeans are also produced in Japan as part of EDWIN's Made in Japan collection.

About denim fabric

This model is made from Kurabo Natural Red Selvage Denim , produced by the Japanese weaver Kurabo. Kurabo is one of Japan's most traditional denim weavers and supplies fabric to many of the most respected denim brands.

The yarn is rope-dyed , which means that the color is mainly on the outside of the cotton fibers. The core of the yarn remains lighter, which causes the fabric to develop distinct fades as the jeans are worn.

The warp yarn is naturally dyed cotton, giving the fabric its characteristic natural denim tone , while the weft yarn is also unbleached cotton . The result is denim with a clean, natural look that will gradually gain more character with use.

The denim is woven in a classic twill construction , which gives diagonal lines in the fabric and good durability. With a weight of 14oz, you get a sturdy denim fabric that is still comfortable enough for everyday use.
