MAX BRUSH SELFEDGE - True Guy 13.75 oz

True Guy from Naked & Famous is a classic selvedge jean made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method gives the distinctive selvedge edge and a dense denim that develops character with wear.

The denim weighs 13.75oz, which makes it medium compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made of 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body over time.

The True Guy fit has a medium rise, plenty of room in the seat and thighs, and a straight leg from knee to leg opening. The result is a classic straight fit inspired by traditional workwear jeans.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan, while the jeans are cut and sewn in Canada.

About denim fabric

Max Brush Selvedge is designed to combine classic raw denim with an unusually soft hand feel. The fabric is based on Naked & Famous's classic left hand twill denim, but is woven in broken twill . This construction breaks up the distinct diagonal lines normally seen in denim, giving it a more uneven texture.

After weaving, the fabric is brushed in both directions , which opens up the fibers and creates a soft, almost velvety surface on both the outside and inside of the fabric. The result is a selvedge denim that feels far softer than traditional raw denim, while retaining the ability to develop fades through use.

Even with this treatment, the denim is still rope-dyed indigo , meaning the color gradually wears down and develops characteristic fades over time.
