About denim fabric

Natural Indigo Selvedge is made with natural indigo , a dye extracted from the indigofera plant. Unlike synthetic indigo, natural indigo provides a more vibrant and organic hue. Slight variations in color and saturation give the fabric a deeper character right from the start.

The yarn is rope-dyed , meaning that the indigo mainly settles on the outside of the cotton fibers. The core remains light, which is why raw denim develops contrasting fades as the fabric wears.

The denim is woven in a classic right hand twill , a weave structure that creates diagonal lines in the fabric and a softer feel as the jeans are folded in. The warp yarn is dyed with natural indigo, while the weft yarn is unbleached cotton. The combination gives a clear blue surface and a lighter underside.
