Strong Guy Forever Black Selvedge from Naked & Famous Denim is a heavy black selvedge jean designed to retain its deep black color over time. The fabric is made with reactively dyed black yarn in both warp and weft , resulting in a consistent, jet black tone that stays dark significantly longer than traditional indigo denim.
The denim is woven in Japan on traditional shuttle looms , a method that produces a dense and distinctive selvedge edge and a structure that develops personality through wear. The fabric weighs around 12.5 oz , making the jeans sturdy but still comfortable for everyday wear.
Cut and sewn in Canada, the jeans feature classic Naked & Famous details: black leather patch, tonal stitching, black selvedge ID, and black metal buttons and rivets. The result is a minimalist black jean that combines Japanese denim tradition with a clean, modern look.
Fit – Strong Guy
Strong Guy is a straight tapered fit .
The fit is roomy in the seat and thighs, combined with a high waist and a gradual taper from the knee down to the foot. This creates a more powerful top and a more defined silhouette at the bottom of the leg.
The model is well suited for those who want comfort in the thighs, but still a clear shape through the calf.
About the fabric – Forever Black Selvedge
Forever Black denim is designed to stay black longer than traditional denim. Instead of indigo, a reactive black dyeing process is used that binds the pigment deeper into the fibers.
The result is jeans that:
