DIRTY FADE - True Guy 14.5oz

The True Guy from Naked & Famous is a classic selvedge jean made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method produces the distinctive selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct fades over time.

The denim weighs 14.5oz , making it medium to medium-heavy compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made from 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body through use.

The True Guy fit has a medium rise, plenty of room in the seat and thighs, and a straight leg from knee to leg opening. The result is a classic straight fit inspired by traditional workwear jeans.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan, while the jeans are cut and sewn in Canada.

About denim fabric

Dirty Fade Selvedge is a 14.5oz Japanese selvedge denim woven in classic right hand twill on vintage shuttle looms.

The warp yarn is rope-dyed indigo , but the cotton fibers themselves start out with a natural dusty brown tone . As the jeans are worn, the layers of indigo gradually wear away, revealing the brown undertones in the yarn. This creates the characteristic effect that has given the fabric its name, Dirty Fade .

The result is a denim that develops warm, earthy fades instead of the classic white contrast fade lines often seen in traditional indigo denim.
