The Denim Jacket from EDWIN is a classic trucker jacket made from Japanese selvedge denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method gives the distinctive selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct character over time.

The denim weighs 14oz , making it medium to heavy compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is 100% cotton and will gradually shape with use. The jacket comes in a blue rinsed treatment that gives a softer feel from the start and minimal shrinkage after washing.

The fit is regular fit , with a classic trucker silhouette, point collar and front button closure. The result is a timeless workwear jacket inspired by traditional denim jackets.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan , while the jacket is produced in Japan as part of EDWIN's premium denim line.

Produced by Kurabo Mills , one of Japan's most respected denim mills, Kurabo Recycle Red Selvage Denim was developed for EDWIN's Made in Japan collection and combines traditional selvedge weaving with recycled cotton.

The yarn is indigo rope-dyed , meaning that the color is mainly on the outside of the fibers. The core remains light, which allows the fabric to develop contrasting fades as the garment is worn and washed.

The warp yarn is indigo-dyed, while the weft yarn is natural cotton. The denim is woven in a classic twill structure that gives the fabric diagonal lines and good durability.

Kurabo Recycle denim is developed with a focus on both tradition and sustainability. Recycled cotton is integrated into the yarn without compromising the strength or distinctive texture you expect from Japanese selvedge denim.
