COFFEE DYE SELVEDGE - Weird Guy 12.5 oz

Weird Guy from Naked & Famous is a classic selvedge jean made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method produces the distinctive selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct fades over time.

The denim weighs 12.5oz, making it light to medium compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made of 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body with use.

The Weird Guy fit has a medium rise, standard thigh space and a moderate taper from knee to leg opening. The result is a classic regular tapered silhouette inspired by traditional workwear jeans.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan, while the jeans are cut and sewn in Canada.

About denim fabric

Coffee Dye Selvedge is a 12.5oz Japanese selvedge denim with an unusual and creative dyeing method. The fabric combines a classic indigo rope-dyed warp with a weft that is dyed with real Japanese organic medium roast coffee .

This method gives the fabric a subtle warm and earthy undertone hidden beneath the dark indigo. As the jeans are worn and the color gradually wears down, the coffee color in the weft will become more visible, giving the denim extra depth and character.

The use of natural coffee in the dyeing process also reduces the need for certain chemicals in production and gives the fabric a distinctive history in addition to a unique visual expression.
