True Girl – Max Brush Selvedge Indigo from Naked & Famous is a classic jean inspired by traditional mid-20th century denim. The model combines a timeless straight cut with an experimental Japanese denim fabric developed for maximum comfort.
The jeans are made from 13.75 oz Japanese selvedge denim woven in broken twill. The fabric is 100% cotton and is brushed in one direction and then in the opposite direction. This process opens up the fibers in the fabric and creates an unusually soft surface on both the outside and inside of the denim. At the same time, the broken twill weave removes the distinct diagonal lines found in classic twill, allowing the brushed texture to dominate the look.
The denim is rope-dyed in dark indigo and will develop characteristic fades over time, while the fabric feels far softer than traditional raw denim of a similar weight.
The True Girl fit is a high-rise with a straight leg from hip to opening. The result is a classic and flattering silhouette inspired by vintage jeans, while providing great comfort and freedom of movement.
Naked & Famous is known for using unusual Japanese fabrics and producing their garments without unnecessary washing or artificial wear. The fabric is produced in Japan, while the jeans are cut and sewn in Canada.
