The 1944 N-1 Deck Jacket from Pike Brothers is a reproduction of the classic jacket issued to US Navy personnel during World War II. The jacket was worn all over the world, from the Normandy landings to operations in the Pacific, and quickly became one of the most popular and widely used military jackets of the 1940s.

The N-1 Deck Jacket was developed for working on deck in harsh weather conditions. It combines a durable outer fabric with a warm wool lining, providing good protection against wind, cold and sea spray. Its design made it a favorite among sailors because it was both robust, practical and comfortable to wear.

This version is made from the distinctive Elephant Skin fabric, a tightly woven cotton fabric produced in Germany. The fabric is known for its high durability and resistance to weather and wind. Together with the heavy wool lining, this results in a jacket that works very well in cold weather.
