The 1927 Henley Shirt from Pike Brothers is a classic grandfather shirt inspired by underwear and workwear from the early 1900s . Originally worn as the first layer closest to the body, this type of garment has gradually become a staple in modern heritage and workwear wardrobes.
The shirt is made of lightweight cotton at 170 g/m² , making it comfortable and breathable. It is not brushed on the inside and therefore feels cool against the skin, making it suitable both as underwear under a shirt or as a light layer with jeans on warmer days.
