WIDE PANT Selvedge - Blue Unwashed - 34'' length

The Wide Pant from EDWIN is a classic selvedge jean made from Japanese denim, woven on traditional shuttle looms. This production method gives the characteristic selvedge edge and a dense, durable denim that develops distinct fades over time.

The denim weighs 13.5oz , making it medium weight compared to classic raw denim. The fabric is made from 100% cotton and will gradually mold to your body with use.

The Wide Fit has a medium to slightly high rise and wide, straight legs. The result is a relaxed silhouette inspired by classic workwear jeans, with a distinct volume in the legs.

The denim fabric is woven in Japan , and the jeans are also produced in Japan as part of EDWIN's Made in Japan collection .

About denim fabric

This model is made in Kaihara Dark Pure Indigo Rainbow Selvage Denim , produced by the Japanese weaving mill Kaihara Mills , one of the world's most renowned denim weaving mills.

The denim is indigo rope-dyed , meaning that the indigo is mainly deposited on the outside of the cotton fibers. The core of the yarn remains lighter, which causes the fabric to develop distinct fades as the jeans are worn.

The warp yarn is dyed dark indigo , while the weft yarn is made of natural cotton . This gives the classic blue denim surface and a lighter underside.

The denim is woven in a classic right hand twill , which gives diagonal lines in the fabric and good durability. One of the most distinctive details is the rainbow selvedge edge , EDWIN's signature from the 1960s, which shows three colors at the edge of the fabric.

The model comes in Blue Unwashed , a raw denim without washing that will develop a personal patina and fade as the jeans are worn.
