All Natural Ecru Foxfibre® Selvedge All Natural Ecru Foxfibre® Selvedge is a 13.6 oz selvedge jeans. It is the second jeans in Naked & Famous's foxfibre series. This time they have gone for an ecru, cotton white, jeans that are great for summer wear. While the warp of the jeans is made of unbleached organic cotton, the weft is woven with brown foxfibre. This gives the play of colors in the denim fabric a brownish tone.

It's extra tough to mend these jeans so that the brown thread shows up even better. Foxfibre® is an American cotton type developed by Sally Fox in Texas. She started breeding her own cotton variety in the 80s and has since managed to create one of the world's most beautiful cottons with natural pigments. This way, you don't have to bleach and then dye the textiles woven with foxfibre: "If you can grow the color, there's no need to dye the fabric - it's more sustainable for the environment."

Foxfibre® is organically grown and the natural plant colour will develop an increasingly deeper patina over time. This is a kind of reverse fade process. While with indigo jeans you would expect a personal touch as the colour wears in, these jeans will gain more colour where they are exposed to the most impact. This natural transformation is particularly visible along the twill structure, giving the fabric a distinctive, earthy aesthetic. In addition, the organic cotton has natural grains in it that give a brown play of colour which is further enhanced in the brown colour of the seams and the selvedge ID edge which is dark brown foxfibre.

Each pair is precision-crafted in Naked & Famous's Canadian factory, and finished with contrast stitching, button closures and silver-tone hardware. The natural, vegetable-tanned leather patch develops a distinct patina over time, enhancing the denim's character and unique expression.
