What is Raw Denim?
Raw denim, sometimes called dry denim, is denim that hasn’t been washed or treated after it’s woven. It’s stiff, dark, and full of potential.
Unlike pre-washed jeans, raw denim starts fresh. That means the fades, creases, and wear marks all come from how you live in them, not a machine. Over time, they soften, mold to your body, and develop a completely personal look.
Why raw denim?
Because no two pairs end up the same. It’s denim that tells your story.
What is Selvedge Denim?
Selvedge (or selvage) denim is woven on old-school shuttle looms that create a clean, tightly bound edge, the “self-edge.” You’ll spot it by the signature colored stripe on the outseam when you cuff your jeans.
This traditional method makes a denser, more durable fabric with character you won’t find in mass-produced denim. It's slower to make, costs more to produce, and that's exactly why denim lovers chase it.
Why selvedge?
It's craftsmanship you can see, and feel, in every wear.

What Is Left Hand Twill?
Left Hand Twill (LHT) is a way denim fabric is woven, with the diagonal weave running from the top left to the bottom right. This gives the fabric a softer feel over time and a smoother surface compared to other twill types.
It's often chosen for comfort and how it fades, usually with more vertical, subtle fade lines. Brands like Naked & Famous often use it to offer something different from the more common right hand twill.
Why Left Hand Twill?
Because it fades smoother, feels softer, and wears in uniquely.
What Is Broken Twill?
Broken Twill is a denim weave where the diagonal pattern alternates direction, creating a zigzag or herringbone effect. This breaks up the usual twill lines, giving the fabric a textured look and making it more durable.
Why Broken Twill?
Because it fades with unique patterns and stands out from classic denim.
What is Slub Denim?
Slub refers to intentional irregularities or thicker spots in the yarn used to weave denim. These give the fabric a natural, textured look and add character to your jeans.
Why Slub?
It makes each pair of jeans feel handmade and special, no two are exactly alike.
